Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 10, 2026
Short version: Pity is local-first. Pull history, screenshots, OCR results, pity counters, and notes stay on your device unless you choose to sync through your own iCloud account. We do not create accounts, use ads, track you, sell data, or store game credentials. Pity uses limited anonymous analytics to understand product usage and RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements.
What Pity Does
Pity helps players track gacha pull history, pity counters, 50/50 status, banner timing, resource estimates, and luck statistics for supported games.
Pity is a companion statistics tool. It does not log in to game accounts, modify games, simulate purchases, or facilitate gambling.
Pull History and Screenshots
Pull history that you import or enter is stored locally on your device. Screenshot import uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. Screenshots are processed locally and are not uploaded to us.
If you paste a wish-history URL, Pity uses it once to fetch your own history from the game's endpoint. The authkey in that URL is not stored by Pity.
Game Accounts and Credentials
Pity does not ask for game account passwords, Apple ID credentials, HoYoverse credentials, KURO GAMES credentials, or login tokens. Do not send credentials to support.
iCloud Sync
Pity can use Apple CloudKit private database sync for your own devices. Apple provides the sync infrastructure. We do not receive or view your iCloud data.
Widgets, Apple Watch, and Live Activities
Widgets, Live Activities, and the Apple Watch glance read local app data or data transferred between your own paired devices. This does not send data to us.
Analytics
Pity records limited product analytics so we can understand whether core features work well, such as imports, premium screen views, and app review prompts. Analytics events may include a random per-install device identifier and product interaction events. They do not include your game account, pull history, screenshots, OCR text, notes, Apple ID, email address, or precise location.
Product analytics are sent to Supabase using a random identifier generated by the app. We do not use analytics for advertising, tracking across apps or websites, or selling data.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit. Apple processes payment information. Pity uses RevenueCat to manage purchase history and entitlement status for its own non-consumable products. We do not receive your payment card details.
Notifications
Pity uses local notifications for pity and banner reminders. Local notifications do not send data to us.
Tracking
Pity does not track you across apps or websites, does not use IDFA, and does not sell or share personal data for advertising.
Data Deletion
You can delete local app data from inside the app or by deleting the app from your device. Data synced through iCloud is controlled by your Apple iCloud settings.
Children
Pity is a statistics utility for players who already play supported games. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
