Privacy Policy

Short version: Pact is a local-first debt payoff planner. You enter your debts manually. We do not use bank sync, Plaid, remote accounts, ads, loan referrals, a third-party financial marketplace, or a third-party AI service.
What Pact Does
Pact helps you plan debt payoff manually. The app calculates payoff routes, payment reminders, scenarios, and progress from the numbers you enter on your device.
Pact provides educational planning tools and hypothetical projections. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or credit advice.
Financial Data
Your debt names, balances, APRs, payment dates, income, expenses, notes, scenarios, and payoff plan stay on your device. We do not transmit your debt balances, debt names, card numbers, bank transactions, or monetary amounts to our servers.
Pact does not connect to your bank and does not collect bank login credentials.
AI Services
Pact does not include OpenAI, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other third-party AI service. We do not send your financial data, profile data, notes, or app content to AI providers.
Audio and Recordings
Pact does not request microphone access, record audio, use speech recognition, or upload recordings.
Analytics
If analytics are enabled, Pact may send limited product interaction events to Amplitude, such as screen names, action names, quest or feature identifiers, platform, operating system version, locale, timezone, and an anonymous install UUID.
Analytics events are used to understand whether features work, improve product quality, and diagnose product flows. Analytics events do not include debt balances, debt names, transaction history, bank details, payment card numbers, monetary amounts, local debt IDs, or local commitment IDs.
You can turn analytics off in the app settings.
Identifiers
Pact creates a random anonymous install identifier stored locally on your device. It is not tied to your name, email address, phone number, Apple ID, IDFA, or bank account.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit. Apple processes payment information. Pact receives StoreKit entitlement information only for the app's own products, such as monthly, yearly, or lifetime Pro access.
iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, Apple iCloud Key-Value Storage may sync app preferences such as subscription tier, notification settings, language, currency, and region across your own devices. iCloud sync is off by default. We do not receive or view your iCloud data.
Notifications and Widgets
Pact uses local notifications for payment reminders and planning reminders. Local notifications do not send data to us. Widgets read local shared app data on your device.
Tracking
Pact does not track you across other apps or websites. Pact does not use IDFA and does not sell or share personal data for advertising.
Data Deletion
You can delete local app data from the app settings. This clears the local profile, progress, analytics queue, and anonymous analytics install identifier. Deleting the app also removes locally stored data from the device, except for data Apple may retain for purchases or iCloud according to Apple settings and policies.
Children
Pact is rated 4+ in the App Store, but the financial subject matter is intended for people managing personal debt and payments. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
